How much does CapCut Pro cost in 2026?
CapCut Pro costs €34.99 per month on monthly billing or €349 per year on yearly billing, as shown on CapCut’s pricing page in the Netherlands on 3 November 2026. That is about €29.08 a month when paid yearly. New users can start a 7-day free trial without a credit card. Prices are displayed “for reference only” and can differ by region, platform and account.
CapCut is a full free video editor with auto captions, templates and a growing set of AI generation tools. The paid tiers mainly unlock premium templates, Pro features and monthly AI credits. If you are weighing CapCut against a caption-only tool, our CapCut captions alternative page compares the two workflows.

What do you get with CapCut Pro?
CapCut Pro adds premium templates, all Pro editing features, 650 monthly AI credits and 1 TB of storage to the free editor. The pricing page lists these Pro benefits on 3 November 2026:
- 650 monthly AI credits, with the option to buy more credits.
- Access to AI features, including AI video generation with Seedance models (CapCut lists up to 240 seconds at 720p or 600 seconds at 480p with Seedance 2.0 Mini on Pro).
- All premium templates and all premium Pro features.
- 1 TB of cloud storage.
The Free plan is described as “free templates to start fast” and “basic editing tools”. CapCut’s FAQ positions Pro for creators who want advanced editing tools, premium templates and more AI-powered features for regular content, and Ultra for heavier AI workflows.
Do you need CapCut Pro for captions?
Not for basic auto captions: CapCut’s auto caption generator page describes auto captions as free of charge. Pro matters for captions mainly if the caption template or effect you want is a premium one, since Pro unlocks “all premium templates”. CapCut’s pricing page doesn’t list caption features plan by plan, so check the Pro badge in the app before you rely on a specific style.
- Free is enough if: you want auto-generated subtitles, can edit them by hand and are happy with the free text styles.
- Pro is worth it if: you already edit everything in CapCut, use premium caption templates and effects regularly, and also want the AI credits and storage.
- Watch out for: billing that renews automatically, prices that vary by region and account, and AI credits that are counted monthly.
If CapCut generates no captions at all, the cause is usually the audio rather than your plan; see CapCut captions not working for fixes.

Try it freeCapCut Pro vs Ultra vs Teams: which plan?
- Pro (€34.99/month or €349/year): one creator who wants premium templates, Pro features and a moderate AI credit allowance. Yearly billing saves about 17%.
- Ultra (€68/month or €779/year): 8,645 monthly AI credits and exclusive AI features, aimed at heavy AI video generation. Yearly billing saves only about 4.5% here.
- Teams (from €14.99 per seat per month): Pro features for every seat, 650 AI credits per seat and a brand kit, for shared editing.
Strengths: CapCut is a complete editor on mobile, desktop and web, with templates, effects, auto captions and AI tools in one place, and a usable free plan. A caption-only tool like ours does far less.
How does AnimateCaptions pricing compare?
AnimateCaptions costs less if animated captions on short clips are all you need, but it is not a video editor. AnimateCaptions, a browser-based tool that auto-transcribes your video and burns in animated, word-by-word captions, has no timeline, templates or AI video generation. As of 3 November 2026, per our pricing page:
- Free: €0, no credit card, 3 videos and 10 renders a month, videos up to 2 minutes, 1080p, exports carry a watermark.
- Creator: from €6.99/month for 15 videos (€12.99 for 30, €24.99 for 60), up to 2 minutes, no watermark.
- Pro: from €12.99/month for 15 videos (€19.99 for 30, €32.99 for 60), up to 5 minutes, 1080p and 4K, no watermark.
Plans are billed monthly with a 7-day money-back guarantee. For longer videos or SRT caption files, a full editor is the better fit. If the watermark is your main concern, read how to add captions without a watermark. Whatever tool you use, review auto captions before posting: the W3C’s guidance on captions notes that automatic captions usually need editing to be accurate.
