What makes Hormozi
captions Hormozi.
Four specific ingredients turn plain subtitles into the Hormozi look. All four ship as one preset.
Bright green active word
Each currently-spoken word recolours to #22C55E — the exact Hormozi green. Drives the eye to whichever word is hitting the audio beat right now.
Montserrat 900 italic
The heaviest Montserrat weight set in italic. Big, condensed, leans forward — the visual energy that makes Hormozi clips feel urgent and authoritative.
Heavy black stroke
Every word gets a chunky outline so the captions stay readable on busy footage. Hormozi clips often cut between locations — the stroke keeps captions legible against any background.
Word-by-word reveal
No full-sentence dumps. Each word appears as it's spoken using Deepgram word-level timestamps. Pacing is automatic; you don't sync anything manually.

Hormozi captions FAQ.
Are Hormozi-style captions free to make?
Yes. The Hormozi preset is included in our free tier with no credit card and no signup paywall. Free exports carry a small AnimateCaptions watermark; remove it on a paid plan from $7.99/month — still cheaper than Submagic or Captions.ai.
What font does Alex Hormozi use for captions?
Montserrat 900 italic. It's the heaviest Montserrat weight, set in italic for forward visual energy. We ship Montserrat self-hosted so it renders identically on every device.
What's the exact green colour used in Hormozi captions?
#22C55E — a saturated, slightly cool green that pops on dark and light footage alike. You can swap it via the Customise panel if you want a different shade.
Can I add a heavy stroke like Hormozi?
Yes — the stroke is part of the preset by default. Width and colour are both customisable per project. Default stroke is black at 5 pixels at 1080p.
Does Hormozi-style work in other languages?
Yes. The Hormozi preset works in 36+ languages via Deepgram Nova-3 auto-detect. Montserrat supports Latin, Cyrillic, and Vietnamese subsets natively.
How is the active word chosen?
Deepgram returns word-level timestamps. At each frame the renderer marks whichever word's start/end window includes the current playback time as active and recolours it green.
Can I keep the green on EVERY word, not just the active one?
Yes — open Customise and set base text colour to green and active colour to white (or any colour). Per-word colour overrides also work for emphasising specific moments.
How long does it take to generate Hormozi captions?
About 45 seconds for a 1-minute clip and 90 seconds for a 2-minute clip — including transcription, style pick, and server-side render.
